Responsibilities:

Designing, configuring, and supporting the WAN/LAN infrastructures for several accounts
-
Providing lifecycle management, quality assurance, customer communications, and technical/troubleshooting support

Traffic engineering, hardware/software configuration, diversity analysis, disaster recovery analysis, inventory
-
Management, utilization analysis, network implementation, problem management and general subject matter expertise

Receiving escalations from operations teams and resolves customer-impacting network outages
Required skills:
-
IP and Data Routing Technology and Policies
-
Network design
-
IP subnetting
-
Network protocols: TCP/IP, BGP, OSFP, RIP, EIGRP, MPLS, Ethernet etc.

Security: NAT configuration, Proxy server, and Firewalls (ASA and PIX), Wi-Fi access points and controllers
-
Data communications: OCx, T1, E1, T3, E3 and their fractional variants, Frame Relay, DSL, ATM, SDH, and Voice Over-IP
-
Cisco routers7300 3800, 2800, 1800 series, multiplexers, switches: 2900, 3700, 4500, 6500 series
Other requirements:
-
Fluent English language communication skills are required including proficient writing ability

Knowledge of one of the following languages is advantageous: German, French, Spanish, Italian

Degree in Computer Science preferred, 3+ years experience required, ability to mentor others required

Cisco Certifications preferred: CCNA. Partially completed certification also acceptable
